As title says, I'm changing trans fluid and filter and may have to cut the bolts to lower cross pipe.

I just did this this morning. Ran in to the snag that yep had to remove the exhaust bolts/nuts to lower the exhaust pipe then jam something between the 2 pieces while I removed and reinstalled the pan during the process. Pissed me off for a second when I almost rounded one of the nuts then realized it is a 12 point 9/16" socket. Once i grabbed that and hit it woth some deep creep it was lossening amd off in a couple minutes

My follow up question to yours is what is the part number for the 2 nuts and bolts so I cam replace them while they've been fresh on and off? Was about to post a thread tobask amd saw this one so figired I vould help you out and post this at the same time, lol. No parts number on the diagrams online just for the 2 pipes connecting but not the hardware....

Edit And just realizing your post was on May 1st. I assume (hopfully anyway) you figured out your issie amd solved it by now haha.

Yes, fluid and filter replaced, as well as the new PPE trans pan. I don't remember the bolt size for the exhaust but the old ones snapped with very little torque.

One of mine was slightly tweaked and bent and one nut more than the other starting to round a bit, both were slightly deformed a bit but was able to reuse it with no problem. I still want to replace them while they've been fresh off though to avoid a hassle one day down the line. Just out of curiousity, did you use just random nut and bolts that fit or did you use stainless or something specific?

I used these from Amazon. They are said to be high heat resistant steel. I didn't use the springs though.
