I have a soon to be delivered new “Mojave”. I want to remove that decal. Heat gun a good way to peel it?

A heat gun really isn't needed, and can cause damage if you are not careful. You don't need a ton of heat, so a hair dryer works really well. Just warm it up, catch a corner with your fingernail, and steadily pull it off with your fingers while keeping heat on it.

I just did it to mine, used a heat gun on low and denatured alcohol to remove the leftover sticky stuff. As others said, it doesn't take much heat. The decal will stretch and break if you heat it too much.

I usually warm it up (or on a warm day), peel it off, use 3M adhesive remover to get residue off, clay bar, polish.

With your's being new, it should just peel off, maybe use a little heat and that should be it.
