Best way to remove bedliner from pre-drilled holes?

threads were jammed with bedliner. I put a hot solder iron in it to warm up the material (<5min), then used the Torx M6 from the tailgate as a thread chase. In/out 2x and all was clear.

I inserted the tip of a soldering iron for about 20 seconds and then used a 6mm thread chaser. It workered great!

By far the best method is buy the correct size taps for the inserts. I gently pushed and twisted the tap a couple of revolutions then backed it out. I removed the bed liner material from the tap and inserted it a second time, turning it until it caught the treads of the inserts. I verified that it caught the threads when it noticed very small metal shavings on the end of the tap. I finished off by using a thread chase to clean the remaining threads of the insert.

Would have made my pop the machinist proud of me!
