With the heat wave going on, I decided to cool off at the local theater, and watched the trainwreck of a movie F9.
Stellantis pays a lot of money for product placement. JTR (M) featured doing extraordinary things. But dang, that movie is so bad. While I like brainless action every now and again, each movie after #5 has gotten more and more laughable. Apparently the JT with 37s can race straight up a wooden suspension bridge. I know Jeeps can go everywhere, but dang, that s**t was impressive. (heavy /s)
It even starts off horribly. A flashback to 1989 at an old California stock car track (Irwindale, by the looks of it). Amazingly advanced, those California racers, since they were running fiberglass bodies from 1995-2000. The late 80s, racing bodies were the Lumina, Camaro/Firebird, T-Bird, Oldsmobile Cutlass, and Buick Regal. No one stops in these races for a break. And these cars don't have hood lifts.
