About a week ago I picked up my Sting Gray Rubi and immediately put 35 inch tires on it. The truck rides good stock, little too soft for my liking.

After some research, I pulled the trigger on set of Falcon 2.1 shocks 0-1.5" lift. Along with that, I ordered TeraFlex leveling kit and Falcon adjustable stabilizer as per recommendation from my Moris4x4 rep. I have owned Fox adjustable shocks on my JKU, really liked adjustability and I couldn't argue the $100 difference in steering stabilizer price. My decision to try out falcons had to do with prior JKU mopar lift experience that came with Fox 2.0 shocks. I feel they also were little cushy, especially when loaded. Having read a ton of great reviews on Falcon, they seemed like a very comparable alternative to Fox brand.

Teraflex stuff came in this morning, and since we all still working from home (at least us IT people), I was eager to start installation between meetings. :))) The install was trivial, with leveling pucks fitting in on driver side without any issues, passenger side required a little more playing. I didn't have to loosen the control arms. Those that do, reported having fun torquing those bolts to 200 ft/lbs under the car, I wanted to avoid that. You can drop the axle low enough to fit your springs. Don't over tighten the bump stops!!

Falcons are awesome looking shocks. They are about 3/4 inch longer in the front and 1 inch longer in the rear than the stock rubicon shocks. The look just as well made as Fox but much stiffer. Once the ground, I can't rock the jeep as much as I used to.

TF leveling kit levels it almost perfectly. There is still a little rake, but will see how it looks with some load OR while I have my trailer hooked up. May end up getting 3/4 inch spacer for the rear as well.

We took a drive to the beach after the install and I am pleasantly surprised. Stock rubi spring rates match very well with Falcon 2.1 shocks. The ride is stiff, but not harsh. It is not too punishing over bumps and the jeep feels more responsive and tracks straight. Stock shocks did a mild rear dance while going over bumps at speed.

I am also very impressed with falcon steering stabilizer. Soft setting is softer than stock and will be great off-road. Medium setting is good all around use with good steering feedback and keeps jeep straight. There is still wondering at high speed, but that's the reality of solid axle in the front. Hard setting is good, but in my opinion is little too much, particularly while turning and releasing the steering does not return back to its center. Its a little annoying to have to turn it back.

Overall, this setup is very impressive now. I have to drive it a little more to see whether stiffer ride is a nuisance. 3/4 spacer may be necessary to raise the rear a bit more to account for heavier loads. I really like how it looks with 35 inch tires. If I decide to go with full lift, upgrade to 37s will be necessary, and I am not ready for that "YET". Will post some pics of the setup tomorrow, we got done little too late.

Been looking for a review of this combo. Ive been debating this or the piggy back 3.3 teraflex shocks. Maybe even some of the mojave jounce bump stoos.... Got the leveling kit on mine today and now just trying to make up my mind.

I considered 3.3 adjustable shocks. At $1500, that's a lot of money for something that will most likely get replaced in the future. If I were to get these, I would step up to 2-3.5 inch set up and throw metal cloak springs. Same yourself some money, and get the 2.1, or 2.2 (I think) that are two way adjustable for $100 more. You wont be disappointed with either of these.

After driving for a day, I am thinking falcons are a little harsh, more specifically the fronts. I am going back to stock Rubi shocks until I pull the trigger On mopar lift.

will Speak with Morris to see if they take them back, or post them for sale locally.

So I ended up with fox 2.0 shocks all around. They are 0-1.5 inch set and shocks surplus had an awesome discount. Falcons adjustable would be awesome, but not in budget for now. Perhaps later.

2.0 ride is little firmer, and no more bounce in the rear. This was my biggest complaint with this truck, the stocks are just too soft. Fronts were installed with 1.5 teraflex spacer, rears with 3/4 datystar puck. I noticed that the rear shock lengths in fox 2.0 are too long for stock rubicon springs. I would not run them without spacer as springs will shift at full flex.

I posted a stance pic on another post, let me know and I can post it here. Rubicon should have come equipped with 2.0 from the factory.

Great review. I am going to install the TF leveling kit as well. Question , if you kept the stock tires, would you go 1.5 or just 1? Also, will this make a massive difference in the stock ride?

No difference in ride quality. Either 1 or 1.5 inch is your personal preference. I like having little rake, but some don't. 1 will give you a rake. If its a rubicon, 1.5 with stock tires looks rather silly.

Stock 33s look good! I came form 37. Over the big tires! Thank for the reply.
