I’m not even going to pretend they were fun to install, it’s multiple layers on top of each other so you have several chances to screw up! But with patience, anything can be done. What I couldn’t do was the wrap around decals on the bed that surrounded the taillights. I tried and failed twice, and just left it the way it is.These are sharp!
Oh, it's one of those multi layers, lol I have not done one of those yet. I have a 93 YJ that has dozens of decals, so its no big deal if I mess it up. I want to be careful with the JT. I do love the looks of yours, especialy the tailgate decal.I’m not even going to pretend they were fun to install, it’s multiple layers on top of each other so you have several chances to screw up! I'm glad to hear doing the taillight holes wasn't just me. Super difficult / impossible! I've made peace with it. Not perfect, but it'll do.What I couldn’t do was the wrap around decals on the bed that surrounded the taillights. I tried and failed twice, and just left it the way it is.
Haha yeah not just you. The guys at LB Designworks we’re really cool, I had asked for a small piece of blue to fix some little blemishes, and he sent me an extra set of taillight wraps. After the second try I decided that it just wasn’t in the cards for me.I'm glad to hear doing the taillight holes wasn't just me. Super difficult / impossible! I've made peace with it. Do they come pre cut or does it require trimming and cutting out the hole for the camera. Thanks for shairng the pics of the install. The tailgate is 4 layers, and actually was the easiest to do

The camera bezel is much bigger than the hole so you wouldn't want it pre-cut - you pull the camera and most of us send you extra material so you can wrap the camera too. That way it looks finished and the material goes all the way underneath the camera itself.Do they come pre cut or does it require trimming and cutting out the hole for the camera. They come pre cut to an extent. You will have maybe half inch tops hanging off each side of the tailgate. This may be in case you want to wrap the vinyl around the tailgate, but I chose not to do that. A new sharp razor blade will get you nice clean lines. As for the camera, I removed it before installing the decals, then put it back on. The trick is to let the vinyl dry completely before cutting holes for camera. If you spray down your tailgate with soapy water with a little alcohol as well as the sticky side of the vinyl, it will allow you to shift the decals around till you have it where you like it, then use a squeegee to push all the water out. Give it a good bit of time and youll Know when it’s dry, just keep using the squeegee and make sure you get all the water bubbles out. It’s tedious, but can be done by many.Do they come pre cut or does it require trimming and cutting out the hole for the camera. Thanks for shairng the pics of the install.
Thanks for the response. I will keep your information handy. I need to figure out what I want to put on there first. I can do that for you. and less layers if not even only one layer for easier install. Definitely only 2 layers though if not one. Thanks for the response. I will keep your information handy. I need to figure out what I want to put on there first. I do like the design on Camaroboi13's Jeep
I was told by several companies that new printing machines were becoming available to decrease the number of layers for an easier installation. I waited around for a while, then finally just got tired of waiting and made my purchase. This was November December of last year. I was running out of time and had to put something under the Christmas tree for myself. To be honest, as much as I think one layer would make life easier, I would 100% do the multilayer thing again.I can do that for you. and less layers if not even only one layer for easier install.
