Fishbone tackle homemade awning mounts

Didn’t like any of the options recommended by Fishbone and couldn’t find any good alternatives so I made my own with some 1” aluminum square tubing and some folding shelf brackets.

Awning lays on the brackets when driving so the shelf brackets won’t be carrying any load until parked and deployed.

That's a sweet idea. I am getting my bed rack today and have a 270 deg awning that's going on it. I will use the mounts it came with for now but I love this Idea and will switch out in short order. Thanks for posting this!!

They’re just some folding shelf brackets I got off Amazon. As stated, they dont support the load while the vehicle is in motion so they should work just fine. Until I can find something better. But with how well they’re working so far, I’m not really looking for something better…
