What are some good ways to fix a flat out in the wild? We’re headed to Big Bend for spring break and the only thing giving me heartburn is my tires. Big Bend has miles and miles of desert roads with really pointy rocks. I’ll have the ability to air up my tire, but what are effective ways to FIX a flat? A compressor will do no good if the tire can’t hold the air.

Tire plug kit and a portable compressor. ARB makes a great version of both or Viair is a good alternative on the compressor. Do not use slime or anything similar or you're going to be buying a new TPMS sensor and probably paying a clean-up fee to the tire shop that properly fixes it.

If you cut a sidewall, that's what your spare is for. Other than that, I've used the tire plug kits for decades with fine results.
