Bent door pins cause all kinds of issues and Jeep will not issue a recall for it. As people have posted, it is hit or miss if the dealership will correct the problem under warranty. Solutions have been posted to many threads throughout this forum, but I would like to start this thread to have a central place to deal with Fixing the bent door pin issue. Please, DO NOT post your issue in this thread. I am looking for the many people way smarter than me on this forum to offer their solutions to this PITA problem.

My thought for what it is worth: Is it possible to remove the crap connector from the wires and replace it with a more reliable connector that even an idiot like myself won't break. If so, please explain, offer videos and definitely post a link to any hardware that would fix this issue for many of us.

Thank you in advance!

For people who have no idea what I am talking about. The electrical connector for the doors uses thin metal fins (attached to the Jeep) that plug into the door connector. If you're not too careful when removing or replacing the doors, the pins in the connector do not go into the slots correctly and the pins get bent. This has caused issues of the door electronics not working and people getting messages about their start/stop system not working. It seems to either be an issue for people or not.
