Hi all! I recently did a serpentine belt replacement on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport. Luckily the Alternator does not have to come off, but it does give you a little more space to work. The most important thing is the alternator support bracket. It is just underneath the alternator and held in by 4 bolts. 3 are size 13, 1 is size 15. Once these are off, rock the tensioner a little bit using a 1/2" breaker bar. it will allow you to pull out the bracket and one of the pulleys. This will give you the space to install the new belt.
To get to the bracket itself, you'll need to take out the air filter and hose connections.
Theres a large enough gap between the alternator pullet and the engine to slide the belt around, just use a light to see it better.
When putting everything back together, it will be tricky to line the bolts back up (they're long) but it's straight forward after that. Ensure your belt follows all the pulleys correctly, rock the tensioner off again and everything will slide together.
One note on the belt itself: When I went to Autozone, the belt the VIN entry suggested was a Duralast 855K6. However, when installed, its about 5 inches too short, and as you know, theres not stretch in the belt. I swapped to the 860K6 (still to short) and finally used the 865K6 and that was the perfect size.
