When trying to install fox stabilizer part #985-24-173 on my 2021 gladiator my stock stabilizer has a larger bushing on one side to accommodate the square bolt end that is used to secure it on the wheel side. The new shock does not have this larger bushing so it does not fit. Has anyone else had this issue. Fox says it fits but it clearly doesn’t. Thanks!

Just ordered one but I haven’t gotten it yet, double checked what I ordered on Amazon and I found a picture of it installed... Not sure if it will help ya or not.

See attached, do you have fat side passenger? There are some good you tube videos also.

Yes just like the picture, but on the bolt on passenger side it is square for about a half inch maybe more and won’t fit into the fox bushing!

I think, not sure, can't remember, but there is a bolt and flag nut passenger, bolt and nut driver. Have you tried to put bolt through stabilizer only? If so, then you may just need to flex things to make the hole line up.

So I went to 4wheel parts, who had not seen this issue but verified the Fox part is correct and then called Fox who stated I am the 4th person to have this issue with a 21 Gladiator! The only fix is to get a JL/JT bolt 2018-2020 and it will fit. Went to Jeep dealer and they also were unaware of the different bolts! So one was ordered and I will pick it up tomorrow. Fox said Jeep may have changed the bolt mid year and they are just starting to see them. Anyway thanks for the input and at least it wasn’t my fault! Lol.

Be great if folks having this issue would post their MDH#(In driver door frame mouth/day/hour).

My ‘21 was built Oct 26, my bolt looks to be the old style, no issues here...installed easily.

I just took a flap wheel to it and rounded most of the carriage shoulder off. Looks just like the alternate OEM bolt shown above.

What’s the part number of the bolt that is needed from the JL? I’m about to be in this boat I fear...
