Fox shocks for lift

I would like to swap the Mopar shocks with Fox 2.0 (they will be better, I hope?).
At the moment I have a 1.5" leveling kit from Teraflex in the front. So I could go for the shocks for 0-1.5" lift.
But if I swap the oem spring and spacer for +2.5" full springs, will these shocks work? Or will I need the replace them with the +2-3" shocks?
Or is it beter to buy the 2-3" shocks (if they work with both 1,5" and 2,5" lift)...
Or beter alternative for 99% road use?

You can use the regular shocks with your lift, and honestly should. If you only have a small spacer lift in the front you should just use shock extensions for your fronts.

I have the fox 2.0s and thing they're better than the Rubicon fox shocks. But realistically they're the same to me as my oem max tow shocks. Im no mechanic and I dont off road anymore so shocks are one of those things its hard for me to truly differentiate between. I did notice the rubi shock wer more bouncy than the current 2.0s. The ride feels smoother over bumps now, but it feels JUST LIKE my oem shocks. subjective observation at best, so take what you will from that.

If you end up going larger on the lift than you will be happy to have saved the $ on shocks for your current set up by just using the extensions, since you will have to get new shocks for that lift.

You will notice an improvement in handling if you go to the fox shocks from oem shocks. There are many well-regarded shocks out there that cost 1/2 or less of what Fox retail for if you are just looking for a change in road manners. Aftermarket fox shocks are valved differently from the mopar fox shocks on the rubicons. You should always match the travel of your shock to the travel of your suspension, so budget to replace the shocks again if you add 3” of lift. If not, you’ll risk damaging the shock body and seals.
