Front Defrost - Hot on left, cold on right. Unless...

I can only get HOT air out of the right side if I use dual-zone control and set the passenger side to HI. If I drop it one click into the high 80's, it goes cold again. I get plenty of flow on both sides but only the drivers side seems to run correctly.

I assume there are two cabin temperature sensors. Is it possible passenger one doesn't work correctly? Anyone know how to get at it and diagnose it?

This is fun as a logic game, but practically speaking, I'd say make an appointment and bring it in for a warranty fix.
