Approaching my first winter with the JT and excited to see what it can do in the snow (if we get some). Had a pretty cold day today though, the high was 26°.

I went out to start the truck this morning and when I tried to open the door, it opened about an inch and stopped. I don't know what the part is called, but the rod inside the door that attaches to the frame - basically the assist to pull the door shut or hold it open - had frozen from water getting in there.

I've had 2 wranglers (both JK's) prior to the JT and never experienced this although neither of them had the door assist. Anyone else experience this issue or do I have a leak I need to figure out?

Agreed. Sounds like a leak. You can always just unbolt it and pop it into the door frame until you find the leak or spring comes.
Where about on Ohio are you from? Im just south of Sandusky.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. Thankfully it'll be around 60 by the end of the week so I'll have a chance to take it apart.

I'm down in the Columbus area, moderately warmer than up your way!
