They're solid, and I procured them when they were a little more reasonably priced. They're similar to the oem sliders, with the exception that they stick out just enough to be used as a step up. They also mate up the the oem steel rear bumper, which is nice. They're a good combo if you can find a the shell of a steel bumper on ebay, which is what I ended up doing. That combo saved saved me about 400$ which is nice. In a situation where the bed falls onto rocks with zero truck roll, the oem slides would be better imo, as they protect the pinch weld of the bed a little more.

No complaints on the lod's, just not my thing either for looks. Based on the design, id say they are sturdier than the Redrocks or the oems, and protect the pinch welds WAY more toward the rear tire.
