Forum Members, in the interest of broadening awareness I offer the following.

I've seen some posts where people have had some strange and/or intermittent gauge problems. Here's a bulletin i just received from Auto Service Professional.

This bulletin applies to 2020 Jeep Gladiator vehicles, involving diagnosis and possible replacement of the fuel tank and O-ring due to a P0461 DTC.

This applies to vehicles built on or after April 12, 2019, and on or before May 16, 2019, and equipped with a 3.6L V6 24V VVT engine.

Customers may experience a MIL on. Technicians may find the DTC P0461 (fuel level sensor 1 performance) set. In addition, the fuel gauge may not be accurate and/or the fuel gauge may be stuck.

Replace the fuel tank. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under Service info 14 – Fuel System/Fuel Delivery, Gas Tank, Fuel/removal and Installation. Replacement fuel tanks are available as P/N 68332305AC. The O-ring is under P/N 55366298AA.
