Can't add gas, fuel flap door is stuck

As a summary I believe there are a few different fuel nozzles sizes

Gas - Will not fit in JT diesel. It is too small will not trip the latch in the door.
Auto Diesel - Medium size and will fit just right and it is what you want
Truck Diesel - Too big and will not fit
4th Stupid ass gas station - that puts a Gas nozzle at the auto diesel pump. This is what I discovered as a problem. It will not trip the latch on the fuel spring flip cap. You will have to use your funnel to make it work.

This is really a thing. I almost tossed the black funnel in the trash because it looks like garbage. Why would Jeep to block the fuel filler? I can believe to prevent filling with gas but the flap jams shut and one cannot insert the diesel nozzle.

Yes this is a real issue in Canada (Yukon). DO NOT leave home without the funnel that came with the jeep. The start of the Dempster Highway and Eagle Plains only have the large (18 wheeler) nozzle and the SMALL nozzle. You will be screwed and setting up permanent residence in the Yukon if you forget the funnel. Also the auto shutoff on the pump won’t work when using the funnel so pay attention. Finally, the Dempster is currently a sloppy, muddy, pot holed mess after 3 days of rain.
