So I was thinking, what if you removed the door spring thing. You'd need to open the door with your fingernail or a soft tool, but it shouldn't open in car washes and might even discourage gas theft.I recently took my gladiator for a drive thru carwash and the air jets actually blasted the gas door cover off of the hinged plate and one of the retaining ribs cracked (luckily it still attaches securely)...my question is has anyone else experienced this? What do you guys do to prevent the door from popping open during the wash since it doesnt lock?
