So I have the tow package with the 3.73 gear ratio. I was wondering if I could put 4.56 ratio in the axles I have now and does that make it so I can pull more? Also with the acceleration be a little better?

OK perfect because I have 35s on right now and I also tow a four-wheeler around so I should go with 4.88?

Yes, this is what I would do.

PS. I am running 5:13s with 37s with a stick shift manual JTR, and I am glad I went with 5:13s instead of 4:88s --- and I never tow.

5:13s on 37s and I tow a 3,500 lb travel trailer a lot and it does it reasonably. I didn't tow with the 3.73s but I can imagine it would not be all that fun. Our wimpy V6's need a lot of gear.
