Transformation on the diesel Made it 500 miles and few weeks in the shop. Few things left to finish up on it.

I was looking at doing the side vent stickers, but I think that blacking out the full area can be a pretty big blob of black. I trimmed the idea down to a triangle badge that fits in the vent space without blacking out the entire area. Seems more subtle.

Last picture together. The 1949 Willy's "Jeep Truck" is now up on blocks. I really wanted a new Willy's
Gladiator, but needed the Max Tow option to make sure I could pull the old one to Adventures.

Thanks, it is a riot. I drove it to the Jeep Dealership when I ordered my new one. Fun. Michigan just
uses way too much salt on the roads in the Winter. I would keep it out otherwise.

Salt should be outlawed and everyone should be encouraged to buy a 4x4 vehicle.

Interesting. Yours came with the fender air dams. I thought they stopped putting them on earlier this year.

I think I read somewhere they still come on the max tow.

Nope. Or maybe it's just max tow with black fenders.

I had to go back and look at the pictures just to see what fender air dams you guys are talking about were? Yah, they came on it, I didn't add them. Mine is the base Sport, max tow, cold air intake system, engine block heater, black tubular side steps, satin black grille. I don't know what added the
air dams to my package? I like them though. I thought the cold air intake package came with a special vent out the side of the hood, Wrong! I swear I saw a picture of that? Too expensive of an option!! The Dealer said it added 5 to 20HP. Jeep would not give a specific HP number.

The exact setup I am currently thinking about ordering. My current hardtop never gets removed, a soft top for me much more practical. This Gecko is growing on me for sure. Looks great!
I debated for a short time between the 2 roofs, I knew I wanted the top down/off whenever possible so I went with the ease of the soft top. I have no regrets.

Not that I really care much but is it much noisier with the soft top? Another thing I don't love with the hard top is I have nailed my head a few times adjusting in the seat so I think there might be extra head room with the soft top as well. I am 5'10" so I would imagine i'm not the only one hitting my head.
