Am currently in a 2015 JKU Rubicon with 3.5” AEV lift, skid plates, winch and 35” tires. Looking to replace with a 2023 / 2024 Gladiator Rubicon.

Trying to decide between black or white Gladiator Rubicon with a brown soft top and ideally brown interior (which sadly isn’t available on the 2024).

A few quick questions for the group:

A. Does anybody have a black or white Gladiator with a brown soft top? If so, can u post pics? Ideally with a lift kit and 35” or 37” tires.

Was leaning towards a black Gladiator Rubicon with Black hardtop, but my kids want to stay with a soft top that we leave on all the time anyways to avoid sun burn (but with the rear skin removed and doors off most of the time).

FYI. We have a minivan so the Jeep can be parked in the garage if weather sucks.

B. Where have folks gotten their brown soft tops?
I don’t think Jeep sells one OEM. I love my BestTop soft topbut I don’t think BestTop has a brown soft top for the Gladiator.

I Google searched and found one on SunTop and emailed them re pricing and whether they sold matching soft half doors with zip down soft windows.

If anybody has any info on the SunTop, that will be great. Btw. Their website takes like 10min to load. ??‍♂

SunTop did reply very quickly, and their ~$1K seems reasonable given it comes with all the complete and metal bits.

C. Has anybody owned a SunTop soft top?
And more importantly let me know if it holds up well long term (over a few years)?

Love my BestTop but sadly they don’t sell a brown color soft top for gladiators.

D. What is the most cost efficient way to get to a brown soft top?
Buy a gladiator with the regular black soft top? And then reuse the mechanicals parts?
Or it doesn’t matter if I get a Gladiator with soft top or hard top

E. Anybody measured the true difference in length between a Gladiator Rubicon and a JLU Rubicon?
According to some sites, it is 31” difference

https://www.drivingline.com/article.../#:~:text=Length,that of a Wrangler Unlimited.

Trying to figure out if that 31” difference is the measured from the end of the Wrangler JLU bumper? Or from the end of the spare tire that sticks out at the end of the JLU.

Am hoping it is the former cos it is gonna be a tight squeeze in my garage…. ?

Ps: Pic below for attention. My buddies and I did a trip to Ouray a few years ago. Had to put the skin doors on halfway when the rain came down.

It was a great trip. Can’t wait to hit Ouray and Moab again. This time in a Gladiator with 3.5” MetalCloak lift, winch, skid plate, Adam’s Part drive shaft and 37” tires.

It ain't where you're from, it's where you're at

I think the Sun Top is the only option available in Tan. I know there are threads about it on here, but I personally didn't like the way it rolled forward.
If they would have offered a tan factory hard top I would have definitely ordered one on my Hydro Blue with a tan interior.

Agree. If there was a factory option for Tan color, that would be my first preference.

Will search the forum more diligently re the Sun Top

I really wish there were soft top color options, but I have never seen one available anywhere besides Sun Top.
