For all of those looking for the half doors but are disappointed by the high asking prices, be patient. I know some people don't stress paying $6000, Power to them. That was too much for me. I kept on seeing doors for $2500-$3500, just never near me. One finally did pop up but I missed the purchase by a matter of Hours.... so I kept checking craigslist.
Just picked up a set for $3000. Premium uppers. They didn't even make them when I bought my jeep so I was always going to have to paint them or wrap them if I got it through a private sale. It was pretty much like every other set I've seen so far, part of the dual door group and they couldn't remove it from the purchase package. She had a White high altitude .
People were calling while I was loading my jeep!

I took one of the uppers and one of the lowers out. Everything's nice. Much lighter than the door with the window obviously. I do like the design of the upper compared to the aftermarket ones I've seen. I guess we'll see how well they perform once everything is on.

I have a gator green Jeep so I was thinking of either doing camouflage wrap or a black matte That looks a little like duraliner But much smoother. It's a textured vinyl that looks rougher than it actually is. It's pretty nice and would allow me to retain the original color if I ever decide to sell them. I'm also considering a basic smooth black matte as well.

congrats on the set ya lucky dog! I am anxiously waiting for the price to come down to maybe the $2,500 range...even at that price its still going to be a hard pill to swallow.

I'm with you on the price thing. I was willing to go $3000 because they were new in box. Once actual used ones hit the market im sure the prices will come down.

Something... something... software.
Wow. Those are way nicer than my old TJ half doors. I bought aftermarket uppers and they were like the opposite of those; cloth / vinyl body, with a glass sliding window sewn in. Those look way better functionally. I didn't think I'd be considering half doors for the new Gladiator. Thanks for putting something else to buy in my head... ???

Looks like JEEP has came along way since 1994 when I had half doors on a wrangler.
Damn flapping doors going down the highway.
Good catch

After investigating, I decided to go with a wrap. There will technically be a visible white line on the seam but that wont be visible when door is closed. The installer says he usually hides these parts with either a rubber gasket or plastidip....$1300 for all for doors in satin black. He said on average it costs about twice as much to achieve the same effect in paint, especially if they have to take the doors apart.

They had several cars and jeeps on site in various stages of wrap, including an SLR and a lambo. Everything there looked slick. They had a navigator in the black I want that was almost finished and looked amazing....thats what convinced me

Would you still be able with to see the white paint surrounding the door panels? That would really bother me otherwise.

the only visible is supposed to be on the seam of the metal....it tucks up under the plastic/interior trim pieces otherwise.
