We've tried to connect up a route from North County to South County Roads. The last time I had a good .gpx file, but that was when we learned it was private property. Since I make videos of my travels, I didn't want to share us trespassing. Also, I wouldn't want to have a bunch of people who saw my videos head out there. So, we skipped that this last trip. However, the two previous times I was out there, we hit Terlingua Creek wet both of them. It never occurred to me it could be dry! But, agree, Terlingua Ranch is a really pretty area. Look on your map at how close Top of the World is to Tres Papalotes, where we camped!
Good photos! North County Road and South County Road are NOT private. They are ...drum roll... county roads. :) The other roads and the surrounding property are private property. The roads are on maps, but the property owners association maintains them. Some of the people who live "out there" don't want visitors. On the other hand, the Terlingua Ranch company is selling land and the private roads are not restricted. I'd never camp on the ranch. I stick to the roads. I avoid traveling large groups. In other words, keep a low profile. If I understand the story correctly, the last big scrap about public access to the roads was due to organized motorcycle rides (large groups) using the road in events that had an entry fee.

This photo is from the middle of Terlingua Creek looking upstream :).
