Glass Chip Under 1,000 Miles = Big Surprise (not) !

Not bad...I made it 795 miles this time before my first stone chip!
MOTHER F**KER!! Every single Wrangler and now I can add Gladiator to the list, gets a stone chip before I hit 1,000 miles!! It NEVER fails. The glass in these are complete JUNK and FCA from what I hear from friends who work there are very aware and do not care at all. So annoying. Hopefully, I can get this POS glass repaired before it turns into a crack.

Yep, totally agree. I just cannot understand why it's always right when I get a Jeep. No joke, this is now my 7th Jeep (6-Wranglers and the Gladiator) and they all got a chip at under a 1,000 miles! it's like to f'ed up joke on me.

Is there a protective film that is for glass? It would have to have proper clarity of course, night time also and what about wiper wear? Something similar to paint film application

I believe there is a coating for this that is supposed to help prevent chips.

I’ve replaced 3 windshields in 3 years so it’ll be interesting if this one makes any difference.

$900 installed. Quite a jump up from the $330 I paid for aftermarket glass two years ago but my installer says even after-market glass has gone up by $200 and it’s back ordered.
