I’ve just installed a 50w Motorola QUANTAR repeater on GMRS to service the Big Bear Lake and surrounding mountain/desert areas of So Cal. The repeater is available for use to any GMRS licensed off road user for occasional use without any formal permission or fee. I just ask that all users are licensed and use their callsign at least sometime during a conversation and the repeater will be monitored for compliance.
My Big Bear repeater frequency is 462.600MHz with a CTCSS of 110.9Hz. For most GMRS radios that would be channel 17 (rptr) and tone code 15. If you have any specific questions about this repeater please PM me.
