That’s so cool. I went right to 1980, as I had an 80 cj7. I’ll never stop kicking myself for selling it.

Hard to hold onto everything forever, lots of folks in that same boat boat...Those CJ-7's were overall better then the early CJ-5's like ours, w/box frame and all. Value of the CJ-8 Scramblers is insane.

Unfortunately the closest brochure we can get to that year in the offerings is either 1979 or 1964. ...You did better on that. ;) 👍👍👍

We have a '74 CJ-5. and a couple of modern ones.

Can't get much for it (if selling) so we take good care of it and occasionally use it for farm vehicle service, towed a dead 4x4 tractor back to the shop from a creek bed (tractor lost hydraulics/fluid), and another time used the CJ's vintage 8274 winch to placed a metal pedestrian bridge across a creek. After all, the old CJ's were marketed as a farm vehicle, in reality they are also a good old-school rock crawler... nothing glitzy!
