About to bite the bullet on gears. Any recommended shops in the greater Salt Lake area? I live in Layton and have received a quote from Fat Bob's. Thanks!

Mine's in the shop at Impulse Offroad for lockers, upgraded axles, re-gear to 4.88 and Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks. So far, they seem to have their act together.

My understanding is you won't get nearly as good a deal on a lot vehicle as you will on an order. Something about allotments from FCA. I ordered mine from Kent and a year later I'm still pleased as punch. If the Hemi V8 makes it to the JT I'll probably be ordering from him again. Last I heard he had hired some help to try to resolve the communication troubles but I'm not sure if that's still the case.

Gator still shows up as an option for Mojave in the build tool on Jeep.com so I would think it's still possible. Kent will want your build specs, so build it out on the build & price tool and send him a PDF. He can get you a real quote then.

Tell us how it went? Thinking about a regear myself and need to find a shop. Agility is nearby.

I'm pretty sure he was glad to be done with me for the same reason. I like lots of updates and the process is one where there aren't that many until it's on a train so I was a bother.

I ended up going with Dillon just down the road a bit. I had contacted both and Dillon was much quicker to respond. Competition never hurts, try both and see who wants your business more.

I believe so. But I ordered last August. It'd be worth checking though. What is the one you are looking at lacking? Is it something you can add later on?

I'd say add them after...but...this is a big purchase that you are going to have for a long time....so you need to get what is going to make you happy for the long haul.
