GT Overland Radio/Display

I recently purchased a 2022 GT/Which I really like but when I turn the radio off using the (Push)volume control the complete Display turns off.

ON my other jeep products it only turns off the radio. I bought it second hand from a Nissan dealer who knows nothing about Jeeps.

GT? Unless you mute, that on off does fully turn off the display. No in between.

What are we talking about here? A vehicle radio? GMRS or CB radio? A quick search for "GT Overland Radio" comes up with nothing definitive. Throw in the bits about getting it from Nissan and I'm thoroughly confused.

Any info you can spare on this, or better yet a link to what you're talking about if it's not stock, would really help.

The only thing that makes sense to me is if you just mean the stock radio that comes in the Overland trim, in which case @WanderingJ is right. Turning it off will in fact turn it off. The 'Mute' button is the one that mutes only the volume.

Yeah, Im assuming the stock unit. Forgot there is a screen off button as well. would be nice if it would turn off but maybe still display the time

Thank you guys for the response. I just never took the time to checkout all the toys and buttons ( to busy fishing). I did talk with my granddaughter who has a 22 Wrangler which works the same way.
She reminded me it's not a Grand Cherokee with luxury items.

I'm pretty sure the OP meant JT, not GT. But there's always a possibility I'm wrong and there is an aftermarket performance version of the Overland. ?
