Because there are no side mirrors on your Gladiator... simple fix.got pulled over this summer and was told it's $170.00 in PA to ride like this.![]()
Next thing you know, "No Politics" !Seriously. Soon we’ll be banned for typing nudity on a forum that doesn’t allow typing nudity to describe unclothed individuals (aka: nudity). At what point are we not allowed to discuss nude jeeps? It seems unamerican to not be allowed to say nudity about jeeps on a Jeep forum full of naked jeeps.
Looks like he is in PA. That's the only state in the country where it actually *IS* illegal to have your doors off. There was a bill introduced last year to change that, but I believe it did not pass.Because there are no side mirrors on your Gladiator... simple fix.
I scrolled further down in the comments and read your reply to others posts... I would take that one all the way to court. It is not illegal to have the top off or doors off of a jeep and it doesn't matter what the officer's opinion is. It is illegal to not have side mirrors though, at least two rear facing mirrors in most states.

I actually told him that morning, I expected to be pulled over for not having the mirrors! He told me with the rear view I was good. Said the law requires 1. I had thought I needed at least 2, 1 of them being drivers side and the other the inside. Apparently I was wrong at least according to him...... he was polite about what he was doing and we talked probably about 20 min that morning.Because there are no side mirrors on your Gladiator... simple fix.

I’ve been warned and reminded about the requirement for at least two mirrors in several states. Just proves how important it is to check local and state laws when you travel. Good luck and enjoy the best you can!I actually told him that morning, I expected to be pulled over for not having the mirrors! He told me with the rear view I was good. Said the law requires 1.
