I’ve had the doors and roof off for about a month and just reinstalled everything this weekend. I’m noticing the throttle response is a little different. It’s been harder to modulate the gas pedal off the start, sometimes peeling the wheels. Is this my mind (and foot) just playing tricks on me? Anyone notice anything like this before?

Is there anything else that is not behaving normally?

First thing to do is check for bent pins in the door connectors.

Should not make any difference except being slightly heavier

I read here the issues with the bent pins before reassembling everything And was extremely careful. No other issues. Windows, locks, mirrors, everything works normal.

That’s what I was thinking. Maybe the computer is sensing the extra weight and compensating with throttle response?

Unless the truck has a way to weigh itself this is not the case. Think of how much stuff a lot of people put on their jeeps that add weight, and the variable of cargo load and towing...no way. If that was the case every time you rode with a couple passengers you would do burnouts and I assume that isn't happening

May just indeed be this. You got use to hearing the vehicle more, so now are pressing harder to hear it...
