I sold my car hauler years ago so I don't have a trailer to put my Gladiator on. I was thinking of setting it up to flat tow behind my 1 ton diesel truck. Has anybody done this? I know some people will do it behind an RV. I am wondering what it behaves like behind a truck, and if it would be worth it to set it up for that. The equipment looks like it will not be cheap, somewhere in the vicinity of $2,000-$2,500. Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Make sure to put the transfer case into neutral or you'd be like this guy:

Thank you, though I was more interested in how the Gladiator felt behind a regular truck versus a huge motorhome of much more size and weight.

I do note that it says "not allowed" under tow dolly. Not sure I understand that.

No problem glad I could be of assistance!

All depends how you flat tow it. I have a blue ox system that I tow with my motorhome and I don’t even know it’s back there.

I can say I've towed my 2D JK to the dealer a couple of times. Over country roads and over the mountain to the city. I used my F150 4D with a cap and tools. Sucked on bouncy curvy roads. Still yanked me around a bit. I use a full blue ox setup (same as towing behind my MH). On 4 lane flat highway it was manageable but on back roads it was two hands and hang on. Just my experience. I wouldn't attempt to tow my gladiator with the F150 but maybe my old F450 Dually.
