Have to re-pair BT on phone after using AA

Not just a jeep thing. I have a rental 2021 Tahoa and its just as bad. Last week it wouldn't even connect with BT or cable. Had to remove phone from radio and remove app before I could get it back.I gave up and bought a GPS for the dash this week.

Those wireless dongles are spotty for iPhones. I tried two different brands and two different iPhone 12 phone, a Pro and a Pro Max phone on iOS 15.1.1 and 15.2 back in December. Returned them to Amazon. Maybe AA is more consistent and stable, but those adapters cause more of a distraction for the number of disconnects that occur when driving during a 40min commute. It works for about the first 15mins, but after that it loses connection and does not recover, even manually. Requires an unplugging and phone setting manipulation to get it going again—PITA. The other issue is that it introduces a 2-4sec audio delay on phone calls you are constantly talking over someone; if you speak, asking if they can hear you, you can repeatedly count in seconds how long it takes them to respond. I posted about this in some other threads on wireless CarPlay. I would avoid those dongles until they improve their cheapo tech.

This is over the wired connection. Haven't gotten the wireless module yet.

OK, I managed to get all of these settings changed except I could not find 'Turn Bluetooth On when Android Auto is Running' anywhere. Not in the AA app, not in Uconnect, not in the phone settings, whether the phone was connected to the truck or not, with BT on or off. That said, I had three opportunities over the weekend to use AA and it didn't un-pair at all. Maybe it's getting somewhere.
