Another person slightly misinformed
Lol. No hardly. You said and I quote...”all the bells and whistles” that shows MSRP which we all know is the starting price of a TRD pro. Also that’s with a manual btw

I don’t think googling base MSRP for a manual Taco disproves starrsRN’s statement. Including a photo from toyotoa.com for a Taco with all the bells and whistles.

Kimdrakula thank you for your service and welcome aboard. It won't take long to join the speculation, just bring it and enjoy the fun. Until price we are all just a holes. After price, I'll be right and owed a bunch of spare doors from Rubi owners. Welcome!

I've said this before but just to reiterate it. The mid size truck market (Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Chevy, ford) crew cab 4x4 with power options ranges from $29k to $35k. Those all have automatic as standard. Since jeep values the automatic at $2k. The starting price for a jeep gladiator sport S will be between $27k and $33k. If you figure a $2k price between trim then the gladiator sport will start between $25k and $31k. I'm guessing the sport will start at $29k. It will start lower then the jl because the gladiator is a truck and less capable then the wrangler. Because of the wheel base you will not be able to take it the same places you can take a wrangler. And depending on the options or trim with manual transmission you wont be towing much more then the jl.

Yes, just like the 2-door JL costs more than the 4-door because it has a better breakover angle :giggle:

If you want the JT you will pay the premium, nuff said. FCA only planned to build 75K yearly...The Taco punches out over 200K per year. With the JT's limited configurations (only 4 doors, short bed, etc), the only truck to offer complete open air, and the Jeep status, there will be a high demand. Sadly, things in high demand typically have a premium price. Now, I'm not talking $50K for a sport, but I can easily see a sport coming in at start around 35-38K and then it's only up from there.

How much "extra" capacity is available at the Toledo facility(ies)? Meaning, could Jeep actually crank out 100K/150K/200K Jeep Gladiators if they wanted?

Jeep said they expect to sell 75k units this year. And they are expecting to arrive at dealer lots the end of June. With production not even started yet I would assume they can produce at least 150k units a year.

Like I said I got mine years ago for under 42k. I could probably fine one on google for under 40k, just like you could probably find one for over 50k, maybe you just like to go back and forth? Hey, if you want to pay whatever they ask, congratulations on being so rich.

I always wondered why the automatics are priced so high adding 2k to the Jeep vehicle? Is there a logical reason or is it just a ploy to get an extra 2k per automatic unit sold? Starting at 29k is reasonable and adding the extra 2k in for the automatic won’t seem so bad.
