Heated steering wheel not working

i did buy a scan tool that told me my rear hatch door brake light was out. it was and i replaced it. now that works too (didn't realize that i even had one there). i thought that might have caused the problem but no...

A light being out - such as that "third brake light" on the tailgate is neither here nor there. No impact on anything else. It's simply a bulb that's not working.
