I think the logical one to me would be the 2022. I had a 2021 and loved it, I'm sure you would be happy with either one. I loved the led lights and im not really sure if I ever really would have scratched my truck bed if I didn't have the liner however, I didn't carry stuff daily and when I did carry stuff I was careful when I put stuff in it, to a point. There isn't really a difference until 2024 with the screen. If i lived somewhere cold i might add a car starter, i dont really like to add things like that because they didnt come from the factory but we have all done it to one car or another. Do you think the insurance might be cheaper on a 2022 I'm really not sure! Congrats on either one and whatever you decide you will be happy with. The real struggle will come later when you are trying to decide what accessories or mods you want to add.

Thank you for the input and I largely agree. Ive decided on sticking with the 22 largely because of the miles. The way i see it is if im going to add anything aftermarket Id rather do it to a car thats still got life left in it and that ill keep for a long while. That and outside of the heated options and slight discount theres really no other advantage and if it came down to it, the slight discount doesnt buy back miles, wear and tear. As for the parts ive already ordered $500 worth of stuff for it with the first option being a tazer haha.

6.5% seems a bit low in this market. Just bought a ā€˜24 Sport S a week ago with perfect credit score, zero debt, and good income. Maybe I didn’t shop hard enough. If that is part of your decision I would expect more like 7-7.5%.
You definitely want to shop harder with a zero debt and great score. Capitol one just refinanced at a 6.1% about 2 months ago so the rates out there are definitely better than the 7's. I assume with the latest news they may just drop a little more.

Agreed with this guy here. I personally think that rates will drop a little bit more to 5ish percent heading into the election (not a political statement nor sentiment in the above).

Good luck on your search and pick. The lower mileage and logged services are a better options in general. Easy add-ons are just that, factory sprayed bedliner isn't better. Often other options i n aftermarket costs less and better service life. That's just my thoughts.

In Minnesota it's 8.99% now, no wonder they can't sell cars here. Lol

The 6.5% is through my local credit union with good income and around a 755 credit score give or take. I think its largely because the FED is aiming to cut rates a bit heading into the election but nonetheless. I just got off the phone with the dealer for vehicle number 2 and they think they can beat that and their finance dept seems pretty confident about that. The interest rate itself doesnt factor in as much for me, rather the mileage and trade off on options… its making it a lot harder of a decision. If the prices and miles were reversed Itd be a 100% done deal.

To be fair though. I dont particularly care about cold weather group but I do live in the northeast.
Glad you posted that. I went back to my state employee credit union. They now have advertised 5.5% for 36 months. 5.75% for 48. I just need to confirm they are simple interest loans. The dealership said that credit union loads up interest on the front end, so I’ll confirm whether that is the case, or hopefully not.

I got a Mojave with the cold weather pkg (wife really wanted it), LED (great option). I do see the difference in miles as significant. However, after driving and loving stick shifts for decades, I would say you need to try the 8 speed auto before deciding. I much prefer it on my JT. Also, the manual has had problems, especially with the clutch, and tow rating is much lower (if that matters to you). Lots of dealers are sitting on JTs that aren't selling--even if not close to you, you might get a new one equipped like you want at a good price.

Just know that the Trailer-Tow Package on the Mojave provides a 4.500 lb max tow, with 1,200 lb payload (people, gear, stuff) in the truck. Depending on other changes added to these Mojaves, these numbers might have to be slightly reduced. Your exact numbers would be easily determined by taking your chose to a certified weight station.

The point being if your not already familiar is that the inclusion of the 23D trailer tow package doesn't mean the weight rating labeled on the hitch itself, is what a specific, as-equipped Gladiator can actually tow with all of the other factors that come into play. If you download a PDF copy of the 2023 Owners Manual, it will provide the fundamental numbers for any model on page 169. This is probably the same for a 2022.

And no, a Max Tow Package that is available on a Sport or Sport S, cannot be retrofitted to the other models. That said, if you really dig into the 23D option for the Mojave, it, and the contents of the base Mojave seems to match most of the mechanical, cooling and electrical requirements. Including the wider DANA 44 axles and higher fuel consumption but necessary 4.10 rear diff gearing.

The more compliant, off-road suspension is however... different in a Mojave versus a Sport or Sport S. I think this is the factor that would limit safe, on-road towing with heavier weights than a Sport or Sport S. I don not know if there are any differences in the computer too, that might affect towing. I can imagine an insurance company would flat deny a claim that involve towing anything that exceeded the factory specs, and potentially any modifications they can cite, to deny a claim. It's a tougher world.

Hopefully you're aware of the difference in towing between the Sport or Sport S w/Max Towing and the Mojave. If this is even an issue for you. Otherwise, hope one of these two Mojave's is exactly what you're looking. Stay safe, and have fun!

Mojave for the win!

No difference in the wiring, its programming! A TAZR or JSCAN can fix that issue in a jiffy!

I wouldn't the OEM LED light group be a deal breaker. I ordered mine '23 JTM with it and ended up replacing all of it........though I made my money back selling the OEM stuff

Light group isnt the concern at all really its more so the mileage difference. But i decided on the 22 purely because of the miles and documented maintenance reports being completed on time.

We use both our Jeeps to camp frequently. Even though we live in CA I'd never buy one without the cold weather group. Pack up camp just once when it's below 30⁰F and the steering wheel heater and seat heaters are worth every penny.

I'd probably get the 2022 for the lower miles and also because I don't like the mopar bedliner.

You probably know all of this already, but...
I see you live in PA; the warm weather package is definitely nice - those seat heaters are quite strong and their OEM integration with the remote start feature is convenient. There is no inverter or 115V outlet for the 2022, which can be a blessing in disguise if you want to add in 12V DC power (better than AC; many portable power stations won't charge with the factory inverter; no lost efficiency from having to convert DC to AC) to the bed. The way the mopar bedliner is applied is technically inferior to aftermarket liners. The 2022 also has mud terrains. I'm on my second Mojave (first one totaled unfortunately), this time with mud terrains, which I feel is a superior option if you intend to wheel it stock for a while. Considering your location, the Fallen MTs are surprisingly good in the snow/ice but not as good as the ATs. The LED kit is superior and you will want that OEM harness.

My score was 815 and I got 7.9 interest rate. Just what’s out there at the moment. I’m with you more in the 7% range. They may say anything just to get you in their parking lot.

Solid choice.
