Help me spend....

So I got a $150 gift card for Amazon and can't really decide what to buy. I was thinking of some LED fogs but I'm leaning more towards practical then cosmetic. I'd like to do some light off-roading with my family. Basically, light trails. Nothing serious or rock crawling. This is my daily driver and I can't afford to be fixing much.

So I was thinking some of those "hope to never use but great to have if needed things."

I'm looking at the Viair 88P for airing back up and some kind of air down kit. Lastly, a tire repair kit. I'd like to get some extraction mats but that looks like it would kill the whole gift card.

Anyways...this is what I'm looking at

I know nothing about the air down kit but the pump seems to get decent reviews. Is something better for an air down kit? Should I be considering spending money on something else for these purposes? Just looking form some tips before spending.

To me getting out of the trail seems more important than airing down and then airing back up. You could always buy a cheap tire inflator that plugs into the 12v outlet

The 88p is a great little pump, the air down kit is decent, but I wouldn't waste money on the tire repair kit. Spend the rest of your money on a GOOD recovery strap, something with more than a 20,000 pound rating.

Definitely get the pump. Air down kit is cool too. Sometimes I regret not airing down going through a trail cause I was too lazy.

I’ve got a viair in all of our vehicles. Has saved us and few others over the years from being stranded.

I highly suggest the Smittybilt 2781 5.65 CFM Air Compressor if you're looking for non-mountable solutions.

It's cheap (I paid $145 on Amazon), fast, and has proven to be reliable for many.

Worth a look for a cheap way to air back up quickly!

So...does this mean you feel recovery gear (tow strap) is higher on the list?

You have a full size, matching spare tire. Utilize that instead of plugs, then get the damaged tire patched. Better long term solution.

A recovery strap is extremely handy to have around.

buy once cry once,buy cheap and pay twice and possibly break other things
honestly id just save up man,get a smittybilt compressor like Red Bearon said
or save up to get a arb setup and rock the smittybilt pump or hell run a twin setup like The man from dirt lifestyle ,or like i did save up for a powertank,it took a while but it was the best decision man,super fast and refills are like 15 bucks and the tank lasts a good while
and once you get some more moneyz id get the speedflate system its affordable and you can fill 4 tires at once
