Yep, a completely different one just cause it is sitting under your nose. That's the true hell! I love an LE. I want a bad ass wide track sport so bad with it's cute little manual door roller upper. My word I must have me an overland to go to theatre with my bride like in the first commercial!! It's insanity. The only cure? Researching plywood. Fascinating topic. A Kia Soul? Well, when I married my wife three years ago she had a PT Cruzer. She bought a 2016 Ford Escape (orange) shortly after we were married. Despite it being a SUV that could go off road, she HATES it even getting dirty.

My biggest problem I have with my wife and my major off road bug is that she might hate doing it. The first time we took the Escape "off road" was on a perfectly graded, wide, gravel road in the Olympic National Park. When we had to pass cars coming the opposite direction, she almost started crying because of the dropoff next to the road. I hope that she'll get used to it when it turns out we never fall off any cliffs and die. Oh well, my 26 year old daughter will go anywhere with me.

Keep the Miata. The lease ran out on my FR-S and I gave it back to get a Gladiator but I miss it. A used Miata might be my next car purchase.

You should have seen my ex try and learn how to ride a motorcycle. She dropped the bike three times and failed out. Thankfully, it was just at a MSF course and their loaner bike.

LOL. We have always just called it the Jeep. Although it is getting a little confusing since we now have a Grand Cherokee diesel, wrangler and now the Gladiator. Lol

Soooooo - new member, first post. This is probably the worst thing to do, BUT, hear me out.

I am obsessed with this car. Infatuated, actually. While my friend was buying a leftover Power Wagon, I was bored and decided to drive a JT Sport S. I've driven Jeeps before: YJ's, TJ's, JK's, ect. but this thing was on a whole new level. It's actually livable when it comes to driving it daily. I was shocked, to say the least. Yeah, the steering still sucked and the suspension, while well-behaved, still feels disconnected. But it's a Jeep. It's also a truck. Good steering, dynamics, and chassis communication shouldn't be expected.

Usually when I drive a car there's five things I usually find almost immediately that I hate, and I can usually tell right off the bat. Sorry, but I'm just picky (Don't judge me on the Rodeo, though. I wanted something dirt cheap and practical. Rest assured, I fucking hate it.). With the Jeep, I couldn't find anything I didn't like. The dash is well laid-out, decent enough quality, and loaded with connectivity and usefulness. The interior was just simple and well thought-out, nothing more, nothing less. The on-road manners are stellar for solid axles. The wind noise is minimal for the soft-top. Power is OK, definitely accomplishes its mission. Auto trans tuning was meh, but I'm a die-hard manual driver. The list goes on.

Getting to the point: I have not loved a car this much since I bought the Miata. I LOVE my Miata. But the Gladiator was so damn good, that I almost considered trading in the Miata. Almost. Thought about it for a day and dismissed that option. I know that if I get rid of the Miata, I'm just going to miss it more than life itself. I almost miss my old Volvo that much (Again, don't judge. An AWD, T5, manual wagon? Yes please.). So I'm left with the option of waiting. In less than two years the Miata will be paid off. After that, I plan on ordering and buying the Gladdy. I've played with the configurator so much it isn't funny.

I have these mouse strokes memorized. I am obsessed with this thing. That's the problem. I'm obsessed. I have a wish list longer than I care to admit on Quadratec. I'm probably going to buy a Tazer JL before I buy the car. I've watched just about every video worth watching on YouTube. How the hell am I supposed to wait? What the hell am I supposed to do in the meantime?

I bought an Overland Gladiator 3 weeks ago. Great vehicle. Have been on Brigantine beach with it half a dozen times, goes great. One option I’m glad I got is the body colored matching roof panels. (Billet silver). I was going for the black until I saw this one sitting on the dealers lot. I like the look a lot.
