When I put the new wheels/tires on I got new OEM TPMS sensors. One of the new fronts picked up almost immediately and the other front picked up shortly after. It's now been a month with tons of driving and the rears are still not getting picked up by the computer. I stopped by the local tire shop and had them read the rear sensors to confirm they were working and not DOA. They were able to read them and said they looked fine and the numbers on them looked fine and confirmed they were OEM numbers. Their only suggestion was to air them up a bit more to see if that helped the OEM computer. After this past weekend and two over two hour drives later...still no rear readings. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to force the computer to read the sensor vs just waiting for it to auto pickup? Can the dealer do that?
I've also thought about swapping the fronts with the rears to see what happens.
