Yeah I haven’t noticed a difference other than from a dead stop it takes a little more effort to get going. Will update with more highway driving.
You hate it yet? I have 285/70/18s (33.7”) and I really wish I had at least 4.10s. I’d never go to 35s without 4.56s.

I ask this because it’s like asking someone with new tires how they like them. It’s pointless. You’ve gotta ask when they have 30k miles on them.

Not at all.

Zero complaints. No noticeable differences from my 285/70/17 Falkens.

Shifting is smooth. I still see 8th frequently.

Averaged 20.6mpg from S WI to the UP of Mich for 4th of July weekend…

You have a diesel? Otherwise, you really need to be honest about this. It’s impossible. I barely have 8th gear with 285/70/18s and they’re on the light side for their size and obviously much smaller.

I am dead serious.

No diesel. Standard 3.6.

My 35inch tires are 59#.

I don’t live in a super hilly area.

8th often - as I said.

I’m not trying to be a jerk, it just literally defies physics.
I think there are large differences depending on how you drive in it's "learning" period. Mine will drop into 8th before 50mph if cruising on flat ground. I can get 20mpg at 60-65mph, but I'm normally doing 75 at 17.5

I have noticed that the hydrodynamics are worse than the aerodynamics. In the rain, my mpg drops pretty hard.

They are extremely sensitive to aerodynamics. I used to get 22-23 mpg at 75 before I installed a winch and lights. Now I get 19-20. I also get a big drop with the roof panels out. The rain thing might be real. I’ve never tracked it. And this is all without 35s. I know I’d lose a few more mpg with 35s on 3.73s. I only have 60k on mine too. It’s not like I need a tune up. It’s also extremely well maintained.

The truth? That was a joke. You must live in the flattest land possible and never go over 65.
YOU CAN'T HANLDE THE TRUTH! (That was also... a joke).

I mean - like I said. Going to 35x12.5x17s Toyo Open Country At3 (which are 59#), I have had very little power and performance difference compared to my Falken wildpeak at3ws 285/70/17 - and thos were SL tires!

Going over a quick search - it appears you have load range E tires.... How much do they weigh? I bet they aren't anywhere close to 59#'s?

I assumed you also calibrated tire size? How did you do this? By plugging in the stated manufacturer tire diameter? Or did you actually measure the tire? Or did you fine tune the measurement by using the distance traveled via a gps and compare it to actual distance your JT traveled?

Where do you live? What are you highway / interstate speeds? Do you have hills? Are you below/above sea level?

How fast do you drive? Heavy foot? Light foot?

There are sooooo many factors at play here.

Like I mentioned - I have hardly seen any difference in switching to the 35s I went with. Maybe a little slower off the line (I'm not racing anyone)- but traveling around town, zero issues. On longer trips on the beltline/higihway - yes it drops out of 8th gear from time to time depending on the speed/the area I am driving. But so what, it'll cruise in 7th which is also OD. And no, I don't drive like Grandma Rosemary. I go 10-15 over, which basically keeps up with traffic - But I'm not an idiot blowing by someone in my brick of a vehicle that is less aerodymanmic than a cow.

After driving with them for about 6k miles - I am quite pleased with how everything has turned out.

I have 37" BFG K02s, the 3.6 with 3.73s and regularly see 8th here in MN @ 65-70 mph speeds, granted it is fairly flat where I live. Wind will also play a huge factor however it would be a factor regardless of gearing and tires due to driving a box. 18-18.5mpg is my typical during the summer and 16.5-17 mpg during winter gas time.
