This was a great time! Fun and challenging trail. My Gladiator did amazingly well.

Did you drive it all the way from sarasota? I'm just north in tampa, the wife and I have it on our bucket list to drive out west in the gladiator.

Also what shocks are those?

Yes we drove from Sarasota. Third time driving to/through Colorado in the past 12 months! Last time was just passing through on the way to Moab.

We pull a small camper with us. Spending some time in a nice hotel in Telluride for a bit this time as well.

The trails out here are stunning.

The shocks are Rocksports that came with the Metalcloak lift.

This is our camper setup boondocking in White River National Forest while we did the Holy Cross trail:

Looks like the MetalCloak Flipstep? You put those to good use it seems. It was a hard choice between those and the ARB sliders for my JLUR. How do you like them?

Good on you for picking some more difficult lines and pushing the Jeep!

Great video. Good spotting is everything.

What part of underside do you think you were getting hung up the most on?

Yes it is! They have proven to be extremely durable. Both sides have a bit of damage but they have taken pretty hard hits. This short vid shows some beating on them on Cliffhanger in Moab.

We set out to do the trail on our own hoping that we would find a group to tag along with. Fortunately for us this group was staying in the same boondocking area. The day would have been a completely different experience without the expert help of a local spotting us.

Not sure about where I was getting hung up the most. The muffler is definitely beat up a bit though. I have bent up the skids on the lower control arm brackets as well. And scratches all over on the skids.

It's a Tab 400 Boondock by NuCamp. The wrap is custom. Designed by my wife. Great little camper.

Well she did a wonderful job with that wrap! I have been looking at tear drops and I was looking at that brand last night, but they all blend together when looking at them.

Is that the MetalCloak skid plate system? Does it replace the Rubicon factory belly armor, or go on top of it?

I went with Artec aluminum skids. After replacing the factory steel gas tank skid with aluminum and adding in all the other pieces you only have a net gain of something like 15 lbs. And they have held up very well. It replaces the existing armor. I also had lower control arm skids welded in front and rear.

Thanks! They are quality built campers. Not inexpensive, but in general very well built compared to others in the industry. There are other good choices of course, but the 400 fit our needs well.

At the 4:45 mark is that a "bypass" on the other side of the shrubs? I haven't been on it in a few years and don't recall that...
