We have ran most of the upper Texas coast beaches

San Luis pass I've been doing since i was a teen, fun but have done it a ton (if someone hasn't, it's a fun place to wheel) always down.

Bryan beach is new to me, i've done some of it once, it's more of a challenge than san luis pass, deep sand,

Or if anyone has some ideas. I have some recovery gear (snatch straps), air compressor, so at least we can air down.

GeekJT, whenever I get an itch to run something, I will let you know. That area between the Sabine and the Mcfadden park recently opened up, if you did not know. I ran it in April of this year.

I have a goal to run every drivable beach on the Texas Gulf Coast. So far I have covered from the Sabine to the Colorado River. So it looks like visiting Port Aransas area is up next.

I don't have a winch either, so I have been cautious but still run the softer sand away from the water. I do carry MaxTrax (and other recovery gear) and air down to 15 pounds. It looks like you posted below also...anyway, when I get the itch or you do, let me know and see if it works out. I have been alone on all my trips (just my truck).

Sargent Beach is a nice run about 10 mile to the NE Tip. You also get to go on the Hot Wheels bridge. There has never been anyone at the tip. The entry is about an hour from SW Houston.

Matagorda Island East (Egret Island) is funner to me, more enjoyable (less people). It is about a 20 mile run. I only saw 3 people in 18 miles. The entry is about 2 hours from SW Houston.

Padre Island National Seashore (PINS) is good for a day or 2 depending on how early you can get out there and how quickly you can cover 60 miles. Bring a friend because there is nothing out there. If you get stuck you are at the mercy of the next vehicle you can find. NO CELL SERVICE! Just the way it should be!

Yea we did high island to Sabine, was a fun easy run. Can get pretty quick on it. We did about half of it at 40, half of it just slow cruise. Very easy, we are trying to do the same run the whole Texas beach coast. Including the ones you can just go north on and turn back, like we want to do as much as possible that you can drive on.

I have the steel bumpers, I do plan to get a winch on it soon-ish and a land anchor for beach/sand pulls.

Generally we try to do one trip a month, (but will do anything 1-2hr out on a whim) there are a few of us, my son and son-in-law's jeeps are down atm so they are just riding with me. LOL

Note for others: Anyone in the Houston / Southern Texas areas wanna dm me can exchange numbers or meet ups. Setting up a whatsapp group
