So, this is mostly a curiosity post; I'm not really that worried.

I ordered and received a set of Dana 5.13 gears w/ rebuild kits from Northridge 4x4 now that they are back in stock. I got them in a timely manner as NR @Northridge4x4 has always been awesome for me. I probably won't have these installed for awhile because I'd like to do the clutch at the same time but want to wait and see what Jeep is going to do with the factory clutch before dropping another $1600 on an aftermarket. Only one of the boxes has a '5.1' designation on it. The other says nothing. The part numbers on the boxes match up with the 5.13 gears on Dana's site. However, there is nothing that I see stamped on the ring or pinion that says what ratio they are. There is some other stuff stamped into it, but nothing that says '5.13' Short of running the ring/pinion around in a circle and counting the revolutions, how does One know that what they ordered is what they got? I'd hate to find out the hard way after they are installed or after they are on backorder for another 6 months.

Is there an easy way to tell?

Dana doesn’t do a great job of labeling the packages if you want to double check you could always count the teeth and do the math.
