Gonna take some buddies out there. Not new to wheeling, but will be hitting up Slaughterhouse Gulch in the coming weeks with a few peeps. From what I've been able to see, the mudpit at the bottom just keeps getting worse and worse.

Anyone had eyes on it lately? The trail apps I use don't have any recent trail reports for it that speak to the mudpit specifically.

Not open yet. If you don't have it, download the free COTrex app and it will give the current status of evert trail in Colorado

Huh. So either the gate was temporarily open or a user on OnX was lying.

Well you could always call the Ranger District? I don't use OnX, but Trails Off Road and FunTrex both show it as closed. I shared the official and free, Colorado Parks and Wildlife tool for you and FYI, an open gate doesn't mean the Trail is open.
