So I've run into an issue with my HVAC system. This seemed to pop up in the spring where I tried to put the heat on Auto and usually have had it around 70-72. The heat was not blowing very hard and not very hot UNTIL i would put the heat up to 74 or more. I had the same type of issue in the summer months with the AC. Usually I would be able to leave it at 68-69 on auto and be fine but I found I needed to be down to 65 to feel any real cold air. I'm sure the colors of the numbers when you change probably don't mean anything but now when I turn it up to 70 and above the number turns red and 66 and below turns blue. I don't remember those numbers being at those thresholds previously but again I'm not sure they matter. Even tonight, it's roughly 44 degrees out I left the windows open for an hour then went out and started the jeep and sat in there to let it warm up and put it on auto @ 70 and it simply blew cool air

So I've had it at the dealership for this and the tech actually got into another gladiator and confirmed it is different than mine at the same temperatures. I took it back today for them to keep it a while and he noticed I had a Stinger Heigh10 unit and mentioned that COULD be the culprit and advised me to talk with them first before he tears my dash apart for what he thinks it might be. He explained that the radio software is what is actually supposed to be controlling the HVAC system when the buttons are pushed.

As I'm not as knowledgeable than many on here with a lot of this stuff, is that answer legit? Could the Stinger RadioPro Pac be a culprit of this? Has anyone else experienced this? Searching the forums there seemed to be a bunch of similar things but not quite this.

Stinger and RadioPro firmware are both up to date, they did a TSB software update about a month or so ago when I first brought this issue up.

You will have to see what the Stinger people have to say. The software could be conflicting with the manual controls and the HVAC system. At least you have a dealer that is willing to work on it.
