I will be redoing the soldered wire connections I did for the dash cam and CB radio, I wired them into the harness of the AUX switches, I will add the GMRS radio to them also, but I forgot I had weather pack connectors, used them on my Tacoma, I will chop the soldered connection out and build a connector, should have done that the first time. :headbang:

I also have the plugs to fill unused ports in the connector. Doing it this way, if I ever need to change or upgrade equipment, i can de-pin the connector and just pin the new wire and push it back into the connector. wont have to ever cut the factory harness again.

I hard wired my HAM radio into the cigarette lighter wiring. Simple and easy.

Nothing wrong with that at all, my CB and dashcam are hard wired to the pigtail of the aux switches.

I want to do plug style connections instead and should have the first time for how I want it. ease of upgrading equipment, replacement or moving. I personally prefer the plug setup for that reason and the fact it can be de-pinned. I don't like the idea of cutting back the factory pig tail if I do need/want to make a change. just personal preference.

My factory pigtail is intact. I used vampire taps on the wires and sealed it with heat shrink.
