Other than having to drive 75mph on the turnpike to work wearing basketball shorts and a hoodie freezing my ass off, it was totally worth it on the way home. Weather in northwest Ohio is around 90 for the whole week without a drop of rain in sight, so looks like it’s going to stay off for a while.
I’ve ran my wife’s JL with no front doors and freedom panels, and have had her hard top off one time, but this is a whole new experience for me. Both front doors store nearly in the garage with a dual hanger setup, hard top sits on a rolling cart, but unfortunately the rear doors are wrapped in some old blankets sitting on top of more old blankets learning against the wall. I’ll have to figure another hanger spot out for those too.
My 3 year old daughter has only rode in it once and that was just down the road to her cousins house but she really seemed to enjoy it as well. I’m not seeing any other kind of driving with her or my one year old without doors though, definitely throws off a not safe alarm in my head. My wife enjoys it as much as I do which is really cool to both love the feeling together.
Long story short, going to wear a hoodie and a windbreaker overtop of that tomorrow morning and see how that goes.
