That’s weird. Looks like the Space Shuttle flying in the top left hand corner of your picture.
Lol little Easter egg. I was trying to find a way to darken the pic a little in 3D paint and the clip art was there, thought it would be fun to see if someone noticed. Good eye lol

Changing lanes on the highway did kind of suck.
Don't you check your blindspot anyhow?

My process is glace at mirror, if clear, check blindspot, if clear, change lane.

Not having a mirror to glance at first really doesn't seem that big of a deal.

So you enjoy rolling down the highway at 80mph with your head turned 180 while trying to change lanes every time you switch?
I personally dont.

Btw yes I check blindspot when switching. Its just a much easier process with something else there.

Hold on... so yes, you check your blindspot anyhow? mirrors or not? but for some reason without the mirrors, checking your blindspot changes?

Sorry I'm not trying to attack you here. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Thought I'd ask.

It's not about enjoying turning my head 95° or so(my head doesn't turn 180°, if yours does, that could be the issue)

Its the fact that, with or without a mirror, I am checking my blindspot on the highway or anywhere else before I change lanes, so glancing at a mirror doesnt show me anything I don't see when I check my blindspot.

The mirror gives me an easy glance. That is helpful to easily tell if I "may" be able to change lanes. I agree that is nice.

But if you aren't using your mirrors exclusively to change lanes without checking your blind spot first... I don't get what sucks so bad?

If you don't check your blindspot usually, that makes sense why not having mirrors might be unnerving... otherwise I don't understand. Now you say yes you do check your blindspot anyhow... makes zero sense.

Asking, help make sense?

On another Jeep forum I was tipped off to the Harley long-stemmed mirrors like this one:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/333731436805

Only $15 and it works great on my 1998 Wrangler TJ.
Or search for: left side long stem black stock style mirror for harley davidson 65 & up
Of course you can also buy a pair if you prefer.

But be advised, typical motorcycle mirrors will not work because the lower stem
is not long enough to go all the way through the hinge.

Years ago, I wrote a suggestion to Jeep
that they make the hinge pins on the mirrors
the same size as the hinge pins on the doors
so that the mirrors could be moved from the doors to the Wrangler hinges
so that drivers could still use them when the doors were removed.
The reply was, "We have engineers for that".

Evidently, doors are designed by engineers in one department
and mirrors are designed by different engineers in another department.

yep, there's another thread on here from a while back talking about sideview mirror solutions. i picked up a pair of scooter mirrors from a local auto parts store for $8 a piece. attaches in place of one of the cowl panel screws.
