I want to give a good recommendation to John Bowler at Decozen Jeep in Verona NJ. Before I get to price a want to say that I have owned over 20 cars in my life and I worked at a dealership, I’m no stranger to buying a car, the process here was straight forward and honest. I didn’t get the usually BS you get from many dealers. They did not even try to jam me up with window VIN etching and all sorts for other crap in the financing process. John was upfront and responsive. We did negotiate but I never felt like he was being a scumbag. Any dealer is trying to make money when they sell a car and if you aren’t going to negotiate you aren’t going to get a deal.
I purchased a launch edition off the lot in late December. There was a trade-in involved and they gave me more than they wanted to on the trade as opposed to lowering the price of the Gladiator but it was the equivalent of about 2% below invoice. I know some people are getting between 5-7% but that is usually on orders not trucks on the lot its also usually not in the NYC area. I have seen a lot of people looking for dealers New York City, decozen is about a 30 minute drive (without traffic) from NYC. I wanted 5% below invoice but time is money and I was willing to go to 2% under invoice for a short drive and more importantly a painless transaction and that’s what I got. I hope this helps others in the future. BTW they have a few other launch editions still on the lot so if someone is looking and in the area look them up.
Thanks
Chris
