It wasn't bad. I used a razor blade to cut the tabs off. The plastic is pretty soft, so it cuts easily. Take your time splitting the flares to avoid any stress cracks (I didn't have any, the paint still looks perfect). I used a pair of tin snips to trim the factor front liners and reused them. I do still need to get rear liners. But I've often wheeled it with disconnected sway bars and no noticeable rubbing on a 2.5" leveling kit with 2" bump stop extensions and 37s. There are several YouTube videos outlining the process.How difficult was it to split the fender and add this bracket? It’s definitely intriguing
