The god awful factory halogen headlights are getting repurposed in some wall art. I've wired the halogen housing with a candelabra lamp socket and switch, and will now get started on a "grill" to mount it in. Going to make that out of wood, maybe put some led backlighting behind the grill openings, and hang that sucker up on the wall!

Do you love being a jerk? One person, does something creative, and you start this bull crap and contaminate his creative thread that isn't a debate at all, but one man's solution.

Don't feed the troll. He's just a jerk and doesn't contribute.

@NCSteve83 that looks like a pretty solid idea! Are you planning to make the grill piece smaller, or to size?

Sometimes it’s fun to poke the bear. Especially when you know he’s laying in front of a claymore mine! ?

Agree on the idea.
back in the 1990s a well-liked member of our antique engine group passed away suddenly. He was an avid collector of small antique engines, contributed with ideas, parts and support.
One of the group took an antique Briggs and Stratton engine and turned it into a lamp (the post to the lamp socket went in the spark plug hole). It had a nice oak base, was very well done and we created a book of Bob's engine work and created a memorial with the lamp and presented it to his widow. She was really touched...........
Anyway - this reminded me how a person can be so creative with something, repurpose, whatever.
I really enjoy seeing the creativity out there - if I can't think of it myself, then I can admire it in others.
If I had more shop space -something like that would make cool wall art and add light.

I'm thinking full size, but I'm also considering hitting up a junkyard and finding an actual grill to use but I'm not sure yet

That would look wicked on the wall of the house or garage outside with a motion sensor on it.
Bingo! I have been wanting to replace the motion sensor light on the front end of our garage.

Check Craigslist. I picked up a Silver JK grill for $25. Was going to line the headlight holes with LED strips and hang on the garage wall.
They’re out there for probably less trouble than digging through a salvage yard.

The LED light option on the JL/JT is amazing. First vehicle I've owned that I feel no need to add forward facing aux lights.
Edit: after adding a Tazer of course so the fog lights don't drop out EVEN IN 4-LOW!

Wow, maybe I'm missing something but your reaction seems over the top. Calling someone names because he literally posted one word?!

He was pointing out he thinks the posted photo shows the light is poor and this is "love(ing) being a jerk"? Everybody in this whole damn country needs to take a GIANT fucking chill pill.
